It would be fair to say that the Newcastle United fans are a very frustrated bunch at the moment.
Indeed, head coach Rafael Benitez recently admitted that he would have to sell players before he could spend in this summer’s transfer window.
Kenedy and Ki Sung-yueng have both arrived at St James’ Park, but the former was a loan signing from Chelsea whilst the latter arrived on a free transfer.
Benitez might well have to look to promote from within in order to freshen up his squad during the 2018-19 campaign, and Victor Fernandez is one player who will be looking to impress during pre-season.
The 20-year-old made 18 Premier League 2 appearances for Newcastle’s Under-23 side last term, whilst he also featured on three occasions in the EFL Trophy.

The attacker played in Newcastle’s pre-season clash with St. Patrick’s Athletic on Tuesday, meanwhile, and impressed during his team’s 2-0 win.
The Newcastle fans have since tipped Fernandez to potentially save the club some money in the transfer market, as he could be ready to fill a position in the squad.
